Bulloch County Schools announced this afternoon that offices and schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 9 for all students and employees due to severe weather.
This decision was made after monitoring the latest official weather forecasts from the National Weather Service. Bulloch County is under a wind advisory from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tues., Jan.9. Thunderstorms with winds from 25 to 35 miles per hour (mph) and wind gusts up to 46 mph are expected. Travel becomes unsafe under these conditions, especially for school buses. The potential also exists for power outages and falling trees.
Continue to monitor information from Bulloch County Schools. We expect to reopen on Wed., Jan. 10.
